Me and Georgia

Jeff and Jennie

Last week I had the privilege of photographing Jeff and Jennie's wedding.  It just so happened that they decided to get married on my birthday.  I celebrated my big day with their really big day.  We all had a good time, but I think Jeff and Jennie might have had a better time... it sure looked like they did.  It was a pleasure to get to know them both and their great families too.

This is Jennie waiting to see if the coast is clear...
Amazing Flowers!

This was a practice round for the 4 man jump.  It turns out these 4 guys needed some practice.
This is "peanut."  I think his real name was Gregory or something like that.  Very cool kid.

Check this ring out!

10-25 Wedding Preview

This is a shot I got today at Jeff and Jennie's wedding.  Pretty Sweet.  More to come later in the week...

Nina

This past week I shot Nina.  She wanted some pictures of herself that did not look like cheesy senior pictures.  I think we pulled it off.

What do you think?

You may recognize this photo the same photo the one just below.  Well you are right.  I tried a little editing on it.  What do you think?

A new toy

In the last few weeks I booked a couple new weddings.  This alone is exciting!  However, I have more good news.  I decided to take the deposits and put them to work.  I bought my first L series prime lens.  I decided that the most important thing for me to improve on was portraits and this lens rocks portraits.  It is the canon 35mm f/1.4L.   I am not sure why the L is red, but it is.  So it is.  Here is a picture from B&H:

I have only had it for a day, but I got out to the park to shoot a few sample shots.  I love the look of these shots (except the color was sucked up in the lower picture by blogger):

This is my beautiful Georgia at the park just after eating at our pizza picnic.  She was very proud because she ate the pizza like a big girl for the first time (we did not cut it up).  This is why her face is all dirty.

This shot is right outside our house and Georgia is throwing her princess ball at me.  I haven't had the heart to tell her, but she throws like a girl.
